To Whom It May Concern,
I am here to inform you of the Warfighter
movement; an effort that I am proud to be a part of. American Warfighters are
23 million strong, comprised of veterans and their support. The additional
numbers of those currently serving as active duty military and their families
are also in our community. We are taking a stand to end Warfighter
discrimination and stop PTSD phobia.
The problems with the Veterans’ Administration are
apparent. The system has been sub-standard for decades. However, this is not news
to Warfighters. Nor is it the only issue we face. Our Warfighter community
routinely experiences discrimination in the areas of employment, housing, and
in the court system. This discrimination is often meted out in a secretive
and underhanded manner.
In the 1960’s, Americans rallied to end racial discrimination
with the Civil Rights movement. During that same timeframe, returning
Warfighters were chastised and shamed by the very people they fought for.
Warfighters continue to see this treatment today, as another generation returns
from answering this nation’s call to arms. Too many Warfighters have survived a
war, only to end their lives due to unnecessary and ignorant prejudice from their
fellow Americans. We will no longer allow this reprehensible behavior to
continue. This is the era of the Warfighter Rights movement. We will seek
action through the courts with class-action lawsuits and propose legislation. Expect
to see us protest and rally in large numbers across the country.
I am respectfully bringing
this to your attention so you may appropriately support this movement. Rather
than complain with excessive rhetoric, we seek tangible, prompt change. We don’t care about “politics”.
Politicians that support us must agree to “give no quarter to the corrupt”.
