Still waiting on AmeriCorps. If I don't get a positive response by March 1, I'm withdrawing my application and saying screw it. This waiting game has been a pain and a trial more than any kind of joy.
I applied to the NV National Guard yesterday. Just waiting for all my info and references to be checked, and then to hear back from my recruiter about MEPS and Basic dates. Hopefully I will be cleared to get 35F, which is intelligence analyst. Otherwise I'll be a 31B, which is an MP. Hopefully I'll go to Basic in March or April and then with any luck, AIT will be over by Fall semester and I can go to TMCC one more semester and then transfer to UNR Spring semester 2013 and be contracted into ROTC. Sweeeeeet.
On the bus today, I was stoked to observe that I was one of three young girls who were reading instead of texting. :)
The Hunger Games trilogy is awesome!! Read all three of them and laughed out loud and cried. Very quick but good read.
The Help was good, too. Heavier reading but also a quick read.
I flashed a 5.8 route last night with Jen at RockSport. :))
It was really good to talk to some good friends yesterday! :) I miss Texas!!
